Louis Vuitton announces 2025 committee for Watch Prize for Independent Creatives

The La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton-backed award includes a €150,000 grant and a year-long mentorship

Louis Vuitton has unveiled the lineup of experts set to judge the second edition of the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives, continuing the maison’s mission to support innovation and artistry in the world of watchmaking.

Launched in 2022, the Watch Prize is designed to spotlight bold creativity, technical excellence, and independent spirit in horology. Backed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

“The success of our first edition showed the incredible talent emerging from the independent watchmaking scene,” said Jean Arnault, Director of Watches at Louis Vuitton. “We’re excited to see what 2025 brings.”

The 2025 Committee of Experts includes global watch enthusiasts, ranging from artisans and journalists to collectors and creatives, who will begin by pre-selecting 20 semi-finalists.

These will be judged on design, creativity, finishing, complexity, and technical innovation, with five finalists selected.

From this group, five jury members will be nominated to select the ultimate winner at the award ceremony in Paris in 2026.

The prize includes a €150,000 grant and a year-long mentorship from Louis Vuitton’s expert team, offering guidance across design, marketing, legal, and strategic development.

Independent watchmakers can apply until April 15, 2025, at louisvuittonwatchprize.com.
