Phillips, in association with Bacs & Russo, has announced a landmark charity auction featuring 11 one-of-a-kind timepieces donated by some of the world’s most esteemed independent watchmakers and brands.
Taking place on 10-11 May as part of Geneva Watch Auction: XXI, all proceeds will benefit the Philippe and Elisabeth Dufour Foundation, a charitable initiative dedicated to humanitarian aid and the preservation of artisanal crafts.
Phillips has long championed independent watchmaking, and this auction represents a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire unique timepieces while supporting a meaningful cause.
The auction will feature exclusive creations from Philippe Dufour, Ludovic Ballouard, Artya, Magana, Carl F. Bucherer, Miki Eleta, Jacob & Co., Berney, Moritz Grossmann, Bovet, and Havid Nagan – each presenting either a one-of-a-kind model or a special edition crafted exclusively for the event.
Philippe and Elisabeth Dufour shared their heartfelt appreciation: “Pain recognises no borders, and hardship makes no distinctions. We can’t claim to save the world, but together, we can make meaningful change. We extend our deepest gratitude to the watch community for supporting our second charity auction.”
Echoing the couple’s sentiment, Alexandre Ghotbi, Deputy Chairman Watches, Head of Europe and Middle East at Phillips, stated: “This auction is a celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and the enduring legacy of watchmaking. It is an honor to support such an important cause.”
While the full catalogue will be revealed closer to the event, notable pieces include:
Philippe Dufour Simplicity – Featuring a dial made from real butterfly wings, marking the first time Dufour has integrated métiers d’art into his designs.
Ludovic Ballouard Upside Down – Showcasing a hand-painted enamel dial inspired by Marc Chagall’s The Birthday.
Artya Curvy Purity Tourbillon Ruby – A striking ruby red sapphire case with a skeletonized tourbillon movement.
Carl F. Bucherer Special Edition – Featuring the brand’s COSC-certified Caliber A2050 with a deep blue dial bearing the Foundation’s logo.
