Louis Erard has partnered with Swedish watchmaker GoS to create a timepiece that merges Swiss horology with the ancient art of Damascus steel forging.
The Regulator x GoS watch, limited to just 178 pieces, is a tribute to both brands’ commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
For the first time, Louis Erard incorporates Damascus steel into its dial, a labour-intensive material forged by Swedish blacksmith Conny Persson and finished by GoS founder Patrik Sjögren.
Here, each dial undergoes a unique treatment to enhance the contrast between deep blacks and bright silver, creating one-of-a-kind patterns inspired by Scandinavian nature.
Its 39mm polished stainless steel case houses an automatic Sellita SW266-1 regulator movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve.
The régulateur display features a separate hour counter at 12 o’clock, central minutes, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, maintaining the model’s minimalist aesthetic.
Exclusive design details elevate the piece in the Louis Erard’s collection, with the brand developing bespoke GoS-style hands, a fir tree crown, and a rehaut with diamond-polished angles especially for the piece.
The strap, crafted from black salmon leather, is another first for Louis Erard, paying homage to GoS’s Nordic roots. An additional calfskin strap with a pin buckle is also included.
