Zenith and Revolution have teamed up once again to present the third in their Chronomaster Revival A3818 series, the Cover Girl Carbon.
Following the steel model in 2020 and the titanium version in 2022, this limited-edition release reimagines the iconic A3818 with cutting-edge carbon composite for an ultra-lightweight, high-tech design that stays true to its 1970s roots.
First introduced in 1971, the A3818 is one of the most sought-after references in the El Primero collection. Known for its tonneau-shaped case and distinctive “shark tooth” second track, it earned the nickname ‘Cover Girl’ after gracing the cover of Manfred Rössler’s book ‘Zenith – Swiss Watchmaking Since 1865’.
This latest version maintains the original’s bold lines and design, but now features a 37mm carbon composite case and weighs just 60 grams – nearly 50% lighter than its titanium predecessor (78.3g) and 45% lighter than the steel version (110.6g).
The dial, also crafted from carbon composite, features the A3818’s signature “shark tooth” second track, tachymeter, and pulsometer scales for precise readings.
The dynamic black-and-white subdials add striking contrast, while the luminescent material ensures legibility in all lighting conditions.
The PVD titanium caseback with sapphire crystal reveals the iconic El Primero 400 caliber – a high-frequency chronograph movement that beats at 36,000 VpH for tenth-of-a-second precision and has a 50-hour power reserve.
The Chronomaster Revival A3818 Cover Girl Carbon is available in three versions: the first, a limited edition of 150 pieces, features baton hour markers while the second, limited to 50 units, includes Hindu-Arabic numerals.
Both of the aforementioned models cost $12,320, and come a black carbon-effect Velcro strap and a black embossed ladder-effect calfskin strap. These straps can be swapped in seconds without tools, thanks to quick-release spring bars.
The third, and most exclusive with just 10 pieces ($27,210), combines a carbon composite ”Gay Frères” ladder bracelet with a baton-hour-marker dial.
This exclusive collection is available now at Zenith boutiques, Revolution retailers, and select authorized dealers.
