Porsche Design has announced Hollywood star Orlando Bloom as the brand’s new brand ambassador for its Timepiece and Eyewear collections.
Known for his standout roles in blockbuster films, Bloom’s partnership with Porsche Design is a natural fit. A long-time Porsche enthusiast, his appreciation for the brand’s exceptional design, technical innovation, and functionality makes him the ideal leading man for the role.
In Porsche Design’s latest campaign, Bloom showcases the renowned Chronograph 1 timepiece, alongside a selection of Porsche Design’s sunglasses and prescription eyewear.
Bloom expressed his excitement about the partnership: “It’s a great honor to represent Porsche Design as brand ambassador. From our first conversation, I was excited about the idea of a partnership. I immediately sensed that the Porsche Design team and I share a mutual passion for great design and a similar mindset.”
The collaboration also highlights Porsche Design’s commitment to innovative engineering and sophisticated aesthetics. Porsche Design’s Chronograph 1, originally designed in 1972 by F. A. Porsche, draws inspiration from the Porsche 911’s dashboard. The latest reissue, the Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition, was redesigned in 2022, blending the essence of the iconic sports car with fine Swiss watchmaking.
The eyewear campaign also features the legendary P’8478 sunglasses, known for being the first-ever model with interchangeable lenses. Designed in 1978 by F. A. Porsche, the P’8478 is a symbol of functional elegance, offering performance and durability with its titanium frame and scratch-resistant lenses.
