The first of what’s sure to be a love bomb of Valentine’s Day limited editions, Breguet introduces a new romantic version of the Reine de Naples.
Drawing inspiration from the first wristwatch in history – created in 1812 for Napoleon’s sister Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples – it is defined by its dazzling array of precious stones.
The model boasts a natural mother-of-pearl dial set with 54 brilliant-cut diamonds (~0.27ct), 18 brilliant-cut pink sapphires (~0.06ct) and 23 brilliant-cut rubies (~0.07ct).
Detailed with a heart between 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock, its 18K white gold case is bezel set with 45 brilliant-cut diamonds and lug snow-set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds (~1.682ct), while a cabochon-cut ruby (~0.27ct) takes the crown centerpiece.
A limited edition of only 28 pieces, each individually numbered, the “Day-Night” and the “Striking Hour” have been specifically developed for the collection.
On the technical front, the Breguet Reine de Naples watch has a self-winding movement with an oscillating weight made of platinum and is decorated by hand with the grain d’orge circulaire guilloche-pattern.
It is water resistant up to 30 meters, and is finished with a stunning red alligator leather strap with a triple-folding clasp.
