Watch brand WT Author has launched the third instalment of its high concept chapter watch series, featuring an automatic movement for the first time.
Founders Jon Shakespeare and Sam Holland release a new model each year under the WT Author brand, with design inspired by a different decade of the 20th Century and the most influential event within it. Each year 500 pieces of the new model are produced in four different colours while the watches are presented with a new chapter from the ‘story’ of the fictional WT Author character.
The latest watch, the 1929, is inspired by the Wall Street Crash of that year and the black model uses an automatic Miyota 9015 movement for the first time. The automatic model sells for £450 on the brand’s website while the quartz models sell for £300. The 1929 is now available for pre-order online with deliveries scheduled for November.
