WoS building golden triangle of watch boutiques


Watches of Switzerland will create two more flagship stores within central London in the next 12 months, building on the success of its Regent Street super-boutique that opened in July last year.

Brian Duffy, CEO of Aurum Holdings, the parent company of Watches of Switzerland, says that the three stores will transform the landscape for luxury watch sales in the capital.

“155 Regent Street has set new standards of luxury watch retail. We will expand these standards further with the opening of a new flagship in Oxford Street this summer and then in Knightsbridge next spring. This will form the ‘Golden Triangle’ of three stunning stores in the heart of London’s top luxury retailing destinations,” Mr Duffy said.

The opening on Regent Street was promoted with an advertising campaign featuring a flock of magpies desperately trying to get to a woman’s luxury watch. It came with the tag line: The world’s most irresistible selection of luxury watches.

“The Watches of Switzerland Magpies ad campaign was a great success and really let people know that something new and exciting was happening in London,” recalls Mr Duffy.
