William L.1985 watch brand appoints PR agency to raise profile in the UK


William L.1985 is building its presence in the UK with the appointment of AFH Group to handle its distribution and Black Diamond Luxury PR to raise its brand profile.

The Parisian watch brand was created by Guillaume Laidet, who worked for several Swiss watchmakers before making the move to build his own business.

AFH Group, run by CEO Keith Sheppard who formerly headed watch service business SWICO, brought William L to the UK, where it will sit within the same portfolio as Paul Smith watches.


He says that appointing Black Diamond Luxury PR to handle communications is a natural progression for the watch brand. “I have been working closely with Black Diamond for several years and this is a natural progression to award them the PR contract.  We now look forward to a strong presence in the market for this new brand,” said Mr Sheppard.
