Watchonista’s team has always loved performance cars and luxury watches in almost equal measure, and its proving its passion for motor racing this weekend by becoming the primary marketing partner for Joe Graf Jr. when he competes in this weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive for the Cure 250 at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.
Mr Graf’s Chevrolet Camaro will also be adorned with logos from Watchonista partners WAX Insurance, Standard H and Cantonment for what is the final road course race of 2020.
“We’re thrilled to partner with SS-Green Light Racing and Joe Graf Jr. for the Charlotte ROVAL race,” says Josh Shanks, Watchonista editor-in-chief. “As a former Hoosier turned New Yorker, motorsports runs in mine and Watchonista’s veins. This partnership will only help fuel Watchonista’s continued expansion in the United States market,” he adds.
Although the Cure 250 is the final road race of the NASCAR series this year, Watchonista and Mr Graf Jr. are already looking to 2021 to keep their association going.
“I’m super excited to welcome Watchonista to NASCAR and have them be a part of the NASCAR Xfinity Series with SS GreenLight Racing,” Mr Graf Jr. says.
“I’m a frequent visitor to the site being an avid collector of many things myself and to be able to bring this partnership to fruition is a testament to a lot of hard work and Watchonista’s eagerness to expand its horizons. Hopefully, we can have a strong finish on Saturday for Watchonista, WAX Insurance, Standard H, and Cantonment and then work on building our partnerships for years to come,” he adds.
As a tribute to Josh Shank’s mother Teresa, who is currently being treated for ovarian cancer, Mr Graf Jr.’s car will carry a special Cancer Hero tribute ribbon and, following the race, Watchonista will be making a donation for cancer research on her behalf.
