Watchmaking entrepreneur Peter Hug creates team to launch Swiza watches

Peter Hug has continued his winning streak of turning Swiss Pocket Knife companies into respectable timepiece creators.

The former CEO of Wenger has now started a new business, Swiza, that is taking the same direction with a business making both pocket knives and rugged timepieces.

“For more than a year, an experienced team of product development, operations, marketing and sales professionals led by Peter Hug, CEO, has been working on a new, authentic Swiss brand to be marketed worldwide and developing products that will help on-the-go people,” says the company.

Within this affordable line-up are the Magnus, Kretos and Alza pieces.

The Magnus is a 48mm stainless steel mechanical watch with an oversized look housing the ETA or Ronda quartz movements. They sell for €220-320.

The slightly smaller 44mm Kretos is a range of automatics priced at €630-685 and housing ETA 2824-2 movements.
