Watches worth €800,000 stolen in Paris

A pair of gun-brandishing thieves has stolen watches worth €800,000 (£670,000) from a jewellers in Paris, according to media reports.

The coverage suggests that yesterday one man and one woman, wearing masks, threatened staff at the boutique, which is situated near Place Vendome in Paris, before making off with the luxury watches.

The media reports also indicate that no-one was injured during the robbery.

This follows a number of high profile raids in the area this year, including July’s theft of jeweles worth €103 million (£86m) in Cannes.
