Watches & Wonders Geneva steals the show as Miami dates cancelled

FHH, or the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, has announced that it will not run a 2020 Watches & Wonders Miami show, instead returning in 2021.

The organisers say the move to the new February 12-14, 2021 date is a consequence of its efforts to focus on the new Watches & Wonders Geneva, scheduled for April 25-29.

Every year the Miami Design District Associates (MDDA) brings Watches & Wonders to Miami alongside the Miami Concours and the Miami Yacht Show. Watches & Wonders says it looks forward to entering the company of these shows once again in 2021.

Watches & Wonders Geneva, meanwhile, was moved from January to its currently slated April date. The show is the successor to Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, which with this rebranding, enters its 30th year.

Fabienne Lupo, chairwoman and managing director of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, said: “We were thrilled with the resonance of Watches & Wonders Miami 2019, and we look forward to continuing the celebration of fine watchmaking in 2021 in the Miami Design District—this time with a new look, and even more Wonders.”

Watches & Wonders started in 2013, with its first show taking place in Hong Kong.
