De Bethune, which was bought by WatchBox last year, has acquired a majority stake in REUGE, an historic Swiss producer of mechanical music boxes.
Both De Bethune and REUGE are based in Sainte-Croix, which will help them to work together on mechanical art projects.
REUGE owner and CEO Amr Al-Otaishan will continue to head the business in collaboration with De Bethune’s co-founder and master watchmaker Denis Flageollet and its CEO Pierre Jacques.
