WatchBox is taking it Retrospective Exhibition presenting two decades of F.P. Journe and De Bethune watches to
Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Dubai in January and February.
The Philadelphia-based collectible watch trading business has the largest inventory of F.P. Journe timepieces in the world and is a controlling shareholder in De Bethune.
The business may have commercial interest in the roadshow, but is also a devoted advocate for the watchmaking talents of François-Paul Journe and De Bethune’s Denis Flageollet.
The retrospectives will take place in WatchBox’s new Collector’s Lounges in Singapore from January 11 to 13, Shanghai from January 12 to 15, Hong Kong from January 18 to 20, and Dubai from February 15 to 17, 2023.
More than 100 watches will be on display and available to purchase alongside panel discussions and educational talks.
Highlights include De Bethune’s DB25 Tourbillon with a Milky Way pattern along the dial and tourbillon revealed on its caseback, first-generation brass movement pieces by F.P. Journe, and rare models such as the Tourbillon Souverain Régence Circulaire and Régence Losange.
“This retrospective collection represents the best of our generation’s two greatest watchmakers – a profound gathering of François-Paul Journe and Denis Flageollet’s most consequential creations – and the largest collection to be all together in one place. We’re excited to share this celebration of independent watchmaking with the WatchBox community,” says Josh Srolovitz, director of sales for WatchBox Hong Kong.
