Watch Guy to host London Watch Show seminar

The London Watch Show will host a hands-on seminar with Christian Dannemann, aka the Watch Guy, focused on servicing mechanical watches.

Dannemann will have two macro cameras focused on his handiwork during the seminar, with a live broadcast of his work set to be projected onto a big screen for all to see.

The seminar, hosted on July 2 at 4pm, will involve an explanation of the maintenance of a standard watch movement, focused on oiling and adjusting the parts, as well as how to clean a movement.

Dannemann’s seminar will promote the importance of servicing, what that entails, and what it does to the movement. It promises to be a fascinating introduction to watch servicing for new staff members or those keen to see how it is done.

Dannemann recently carried out the repair and maintenance of a Zenith Respirator for the editorial director of WatchPro magazine. See his endeavours in full online in the May issue of WatchPro.
