Frédéric Arnault, chief strategy & digital officer for TAG Heuer and Stéphane Bianchi, CEO for the brand and LVMH’s Watchmaking Division, co-hosted the global launch of the new Connected smartwatch in New York last week.
The event looks certain to be the last significant gathering of press, retail partners and celebrities in Europe or the United States until after the Coronavirus situation has eased.
It was attended by TAG Heuer ambassadors Ali Krieger, Ashlyn Harris, Oliver Chesire and Paulina Vega along with VIPs Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Broderick Hunter and Young Paris.
“I’m proud to celebrate the launch of our new TAG Heuer Connected, a stunning watch that uniquely combines elegant craftsmanship with a state-of-the-art digital experience geared towards sports and performance. As an avant-garde brand, innovation is at the heart of everything we do and this piece is a true statement to the watchmaking industry” Mr Arnault said at the event.
The watch went on sale last week at select stores and online at TAG Heuer’s website for prices ranging from £1,495 to £1,950.
