Visser Watches, a fledgling brand born in The Netherlands, is looking to grow a network of retailers in the United States.
The company’s co-founder, Bob Koelewyn, says that the company began with online-only sales direct to consumer, but needs to work with partners to fulfill the potential of the business.
“We found that just having online availability does not satisfy our goal in reaching out to potential customers,” Mr Koelewyn tells WatchPro.
Visser watches are promoted as maritime watches, and may even be sold in specialist enthusiast shops. For example, Zebko, a fishing and tackle brand and retailer, is in advanced discussion to stock the watches.
“We are excited to get the Visser watch in the stores as it has a unique maritime connection geared toward fishing and boating enthusiasts. Not may brands have done this in this matter specifically,” Mr Koelewyn says.
Visser watches retail for around $750. The Visser Series, for example, is priced at &770 for a watch with a Miyota Caliber 9015 Automatic movement in a steel case.
