MB&F’s Legacy Machine No. 2 (LM2) features one movement – two fully independent escapements and two Legacy-style flying balance wheels floating above the dial.
LM2 is the second in the Legacy series and follows the launch of the Legacy Machine No. 1, two years ago, which won both the Best Men’s Watch and the Public Prize categories at last year’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.
This latest model honours great watchmakers Ferdinand Berthoud (1727-1807), Antide Janvier (1751-1835) and Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823), who all experimented with dual balances. The piece features one movement. It boasts two fully independent escapements, with two Legacy-style flying balance wheels floating high above the dial. It also has a planetary differential, which transmits the average rates of those balance wheels to a single gear train.
For the LM2, MB&F has teamed up once again with watchmakers Jean-François Mojon and his team at Chronode, and Kari Voutilainen.

The LM2 is available in 18ct rose or white gold, plus a limited edition of 18 pieces in platinum that features a striking sky-blue dial.
