IWC Schaffhausen has confirmed that it will once again be the official timekeeper at tough sailing event, the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15, and will also be competing in the race as official sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing team.
The Volvo Ocean Race sailing event is in its 12th edition and for 2014-15, IWC has renewed its partnership with the event. IWC is also renewing its partnership with the Volvo Ocean Race contesting outfit, Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing.

The Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15 will see elite sailors from every corner of the globe crew the brand new one-design Volvo Ocean 65 racing boats as they cover almost 40,000 nautical miles in a race around the world. The competition, lasts almost nine months.

As well as being official timekeeper and presenting the IWS Schaffhausen 24-hour Speed Record Challenge trophy, the Swiss watch manufacturer is also renewing its commitment as official sponsor of Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, which made history in the first Arab-flagged entry.
