Buying group Houlden has appointed marketing consultant Vanessa Priest to help strengthen the brand and work on a number of special projects.
Priest (nee Bartsch) will work with CEO Stuart Laing to improve The Houlden Group’s marketing support as well as developing its Jewellers of Excellence branding.

The Group offers a high level of support to its members, and my role is to promote Jewellers of Excellence, to provide marketing strength through enhanced branding, as well as to offer innovative ways for members to grow their businesses.”
With a career spanning two decades in the jewellery industry focusing on gemstones, Priest brings a wealth of knowledge of jewellery, branding and multi-channel retail. Her experience includes nine years at QVC, culminating as head of buying for jewellery, and prior to that she was senior buyer at Foschini Group Jewellery in South Africa. She has also worked with a number of blue-chip companies and brands to enhance multichannel presence and to optimise sales.
