Urban Jürgensen celebrates 245 years with its pre-Basel creations

Urban Jürgensen is to expand on its family of handmade watches with two pieces celebrating the brand hitting 245 years.

First up is The Reference 1140L RG Brown Limited Edition, a 20-piece rose gold timepiece. The 1140 has a 40mm case which houses the P4 Movement made by the company. The movement accounts for the central hours and minutes, small seconds and up to 60 hours of autonomy.

The dial consists of a brushed chapter ring, on which are the rose gold numerals at each hour. It also sports a guilloché dial on one piece of solid silver in the central position where the thermally blued hands are placed. Finally, the small seconds sub dial is set at the 6 o’clock position.

The piece comes with an alligator strap, a crystal display back and the promise from the company that size and color can be altered on request.

Secondly is The Reference 2140 in White Gold, a piece similar to the previous in numerous ways but coming in as a more minimalist option.

The 2140 too houses a P4 movement; it also has the same size case and the same design approach to the dial. The 2140 however comes in black and grey instead of the browns and golds found on the 1140. Its indexes are also slim white gold batons instead of numerals.

It is again promised that it can be customized on request.
