Tissot capitalises on advancements in watchmaking with new automatic timepiece

Swiss watchmaking brand Tissot has continued to grow its range of automatic watches by integrating the latest developments in contemporary watchmaking.

Tissot’s newly-revealed Chemin des Tourelles Automatic collection draws on classic traits from its debut range of automatics over 70 years ago, whilst introducing contemporary technology.

Tissot launched its first automatic collection in 1943 and the Tissot Automatic models the brand presented in 1944 and 1954 that utilised breakthroughs made in watchmaking technology following the war.

Clad in 18k gold, they represented both the technical achievements of the period and the elegance Tissot watches were rapidly becoming known for.

The plus sign in the logo symbolises the Swiss quality and reliability Tissot has set out to provide since 1853.

The brand’s watches, which was sold in more than 160 countries, are authentic, accessible and use special materials, advanced functionalities and meticulous design.

Tissot has been named Official Timekeeper and Partner of many disciplines, including, basketball with the NBA and FIBA; cycling with the Tour de France and the UCI World Cycling Championships; motorsports with MotoGPTM, among many more. It is also the Official Timekeeper of the World Championships of fencing and ice hockey.
