Timex and Todd Snyder use New York Fashion Week Men’s to unveil their latest timepiece

Timex and Todd Snyder used New York Fashion Week Men’s to unveil the latest watch from their long-running collaboration

The Todd Snyder + Mid Century timepiece takes inspiration from a 1977 classic Timex original that Mr Snyder spotted on a trip overseas.

“I was traveling in Europe and had a meeting with someone from the Timex team, and he was wearing the coolest old Timex with a day/date feature,” says Mr Snyder. “I liked it so much I took it right off his wrist and used it as the starting point for the Mid Century. This watch is definitely one of my personal favorites.”

The $158 watch has a stainless-steel case housing a day/date quartz movement. It is worn on a leather strap from S.B. Foot Tanning Co. in Red Wing, Minnesota. There are two colorways: a black dial matched with a black strap or a silver dial with a brown strap.

“Timex is grounded in its watchmaking roots and innovative timepiece designs,” said Giorgio Galli, design director at Timex. “Our ongoing relationship with Todd has been inspiring from day one, as we have worked together to create fashion-forward watches for men that really stand out in their watch collections. The Mid Century is no different – it’s sure to make a splash on the runway this year.”

The model will be available exclusively through ToddSnyder.com and at the Todd Snyder flagship store on Madison Square Park in New York.
