Timex has increased its visibility in key Topman menswear stores in London ahead of the Christmas trading period.
The watch brand will be presented in freestanding open display, replacing under counter units that needed somebody to serve shoppers.
The displays will be placed in flagship Topman locations including Oxford Circus, Westfield megamalls in Stratford and White City, and the Topman General Store in Spitalfields.
Timex’s Weekender and Fairfield collections, which retail for £50-80, will be highlighted in the displays. Other models are sold on Topman.com, with early results indicting a strong sell through, the brand states.
“The new open-sale display unit made bespoke for Topman is designed to meet the shopping needs of Gen Z and Millennials; tactile and having strong visual brand impact, allowing the shopper to grab their favourite style without the traditional waiting time that an under counter display would require. This set up also allows us to highlight our best selling styles in a Timex brand environment and we’re confident the new unit will continue to be a sales driver,” says Daniel Crow, brand development manager, at Timex.
