Jean-Claude Biver, head of LVMH’s watchmaking division, recorded his thoughts on the market, the challenges of his new role and the opportunities for growth in a video recorded before BaselWorld.

In the short video Biver, who in March took on the role that covers the Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith brands, is adamant that China is the group’s biggest opportunity.

Biver, one of the most influential figures in watchmaking, joined LVMH when the group bought Hublot in 2008 and is clear on his strategy for success, saying: “Be the first, be different, be unique.”
