TAG Heuer celebrates 160 years with new limited edition Carrera Silver

Swiss brand TAG Heuer has begun its 160th birthday celebrations early, with the announcement of the new Carrera Silver Limited Edition.

The brand was founded by Edouard Heuer in 1860, and in dedication to that year, TAG Heuer will release a limited edition run of only 1,860 of its new timepiece. ‘One of 1860’ is engraved on the back.

The new watch will use classic design of the kind TAG Heuer has been using since the 1960s.

It will evoke the classic Carrera Silver line, with the addition of a number of modern updates.

A black alligator strap and stainless steel features are paired with SuperLuminova-coated hour and minute hands and an automatic chronograph movement.

The watch will release in June 2020.
