Anonimo, the watch brand based near Geneva since 2013, has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Julien Haenny, who has been the brand’s marketing and communication director for the last year.
The company said this appointment represents a major step in the brand’s redevelopment strategy, which was introduced earlier this year and includes a restructuring of its teams, development of the international distribution network and in-depth work on its collections. The company has described it as a ‘large-scale’ project but is confident in Haenny’s abilities to lead it through the transition.
Anonimo said Haenny has already made a name for himself in the watchmaking industry, honing his skills over the last 10 years. His experience covers merchandising, events management and media work, as well as dealing with mass-market, exclusive and innovative products. Before joining Anonimo, the CEO worked at Hugo Boss, Jaeger-LeCoultre and TechnoMarine.
Haenny joined Anonimo Watches as marketing and communication director in September 2015. He initially stepped into the hot-seat before Baselworld this year, with the company confirming his permanent appointment yesterday.
