Successful festive footie showcase for Identity


Identity the Jewellers has reported a successful festive showcase after the retailer pulled together 22 brands for its customer event at Derby County Football Club Players Lounge.

The festive watch and jewellery showcase, which took place in the evening, follows a similar festive customer event that the retailer held last year at Derbyshire Cricket Club.

Identity invited 15 suppliers representing 22 brands to join it at the showcase and meet with its customers. Watch brands at the event included Hugo Boss, Boss Orange, Scuderia Ferrari, Tommy Hilfiger, TW Steel, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, 88 Rue Du Rhone, Mondaine, Victorinox, Luminox, Gc, Jorg Gray and Bulova.

The showcase also attracted two of Derby’s footballers, main striker Johnny Russell and Northern Ireland International Jamie Ward, who spent time viewing the collections and meeting with shoppers.

To entice shoppers along to the showcase Identity ran a competition on the day to win an 88 Rue du Rhone watch, offered welcome drinks and gave a 15% discount on all items bought at the event.

Identity director Andrew Warner said: "We tried to offer something a bit different for the customers and a more relaxed, social and spending kind of atmosphere. The suppliers brought their whole range of products that we don’t always stock at the shop, and with the expertise of their representatives they could tell the customers more details about their products."

Identity the Jeweller is the official timekeeping partner of Derby Country Football Club.
