Staff seize £5000 Rolex from Yorkshire Ripper

The Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, is said to be furious after wardens at Broadmoor high security hospital confiscated a £5000 Rolex watch.

The Sun reports that the serial killer, 70, was sent the Rolex Submariner by his brother Mick Sutcliffe.

But staff at Broadmoor (pictured above) seized the Rolex fearing that other patients at the hospital would react badly to seeing the luxury timepiece.

A source told The Sun: “Sutcliffe moaned he wasn’t allowed the Rolex and was furious when he saw a member of staff had one.

“He said that was unfair and breached his rights, but if other patients spotted him wearing a Rolex it would cause problems.

“But the fact that he was even sent it shows the kind of life he has been enjoying.”
