Splendore Unique creates black DLC Patek

Following its recent release of a highly modified diamond-studded Rolex Sky Dweller, after-market watch company Splendore Unique has turned its attention to a Patek Philippe favourite.

The Nero Complications 5960 is based on Patek Philippe’s ref. 5960/1A which was unveiled at Baselworld 2014 and caused a stir as a steel annual calendar chronograph on a bracelet.

Splendor Unique has treated the steel of the case and bracelet with a black DLC coating while the dial has been recreated as an inverse of the original; with white-on-black indices and a black-on-white chapter ring.

Splendore Unique offers a number of collections on its website with modifications carried out on watches by Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. Many of the modifications offer country-specific designs with most seemingly created for Middle Eastern markets. The company’s website states that it also offers a bespoke design service.
