American watch manufacturer Shinola is set to open its third bricks-and-mortar store within the US.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which handcrafts bicycles, journals, shoe polish and leather goods as well as watches, will open a store in the historic North Loop neighbourhood of Minneapolis in late spring.
Shinola already has a store in its hometown and a flagship retail outlet in New York’s TriBeCa district offered ‘quality American-made products’.
Following the company’s enthusiasm for working with local manufacturers and businesses, Shinola is now looking to talk to Minneapolis-based companies regarding future collaborations.
“Shinola is very proud to be joining the community we’ve found in Minneapolis," says Steve Bock, CEO of Shinola. "Shinola is built on the premise of American craftsmanship and quality. We love the idea of being in Minneapolis and believe that this passion of ours will ensure we are very much at home here.”
