Rotary’s debut Chinese boutique is first step in aggressive 2016 retail plan

Rotary has opened its first standalone boutique in China following on from the opening of 24 shop-in-shops launching in the country over the last six months.

The 20sq m boutique has opened at the Poly shopping Mall within China’s affluent Foshan City with custom-made fittings and stocking the entire Rotary range of Swiss made watches.

Since being sold to China Haidian Holdings – since renamed Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited – in 2014 Rotary has made great strides in China thanks to its new owner’s local distribution and retail expertise and an attractive price point for Chinese consumers.

But will pursue an ‘aggressive’ roll-out of new shop-in-shops throughout 2016 with the aim of achieving 150-200 points of sale by the end of the year.

Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited also owns Corum and Eterna watch brands.
