Rolex ready to profit from US Open as Tiger and other testimonees compete for the title

Rolex is looking forward to another four days of blanket brand building thanks to the global coverage of the US Open golf tournament that kicks off today at Pebble Beach in California.

It is the 40th consecutive year at which Rolex has been the official timekeeper of the US Open, which is returning to the iconic seaside Pebble Beach course for a sixth time.

Rolex testimonee Brooks Koepka will arrive as a hot favorite to win the US Open, having already bagged the 2019 PGA Championship trophy in May and reclaiming the world number 1 ranking.

At Pebble Beach he will be aiming to become only the second golfer to win the US Open title three years in a row, a feat not repeated since Scotland’s Willie Anderson won in 1903, 1904 and 1905.

Fellow testimonee Tiger Woods will also generate massive publicity for Rolex, and will hope to be in the mix following his victory at The Masters earlier this year.

If the title goes to a younger generation of golfer, Rolex has that covered as well by working with Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Hideki Matsuyama, all of which have been in contention for the title in recent years.
