Luxury items, which includes a selection of Rolex and Cartier timepieces, are set to go up for auction in Wales after they were seized from criminals.
The auction, set to be held later today in Newport, will feature goods worth up to $460,000, including gold and diamond jewellery, high end cars and a range of luxury watches.
According to a report from the South Wales Argus, the items will be up for auction with no reserve price at Wilsons Auctions during its Unreserved Government auction.
The auction will be available globally through the company’s online bidding facility, LiveBid.
Wilsons Auctions’ head of asset recovery, Aidan Larkin, told the South Wales Argus: “The Unreserved Government Auction at Wilsons Auctions Newport, the only of its kind in Great Britain, continues to deliver such a variety range of luxury goods, all with no reserve.”
He added: “From luxury cars, high-value watches and designer clothing to jewellery, champagne and much more, this is a great opportunity for bidders to purchase quality goods for an affordable price.”
Lots can be viewed online prior to the auction, which is planned to begin at 7.30pm, via the auction house website.
