Richemont reveals virtual showroom concept

Piaget’s Singapore showroom can now be visited from the comfort of your lock down sofa thanks to a virtual boutique you can access from your cellphone, tablet or computer.

The Richemont-owned brand has created a walk-through experience where you click on the floor to move through the store, zoom in on a cabinet of watches or jewelry, then click on anything you like the look of.

Right now it is not possible to purchase directly from within the virtual boutique, but customers can make an inquiry or chat with an assistant.

Nobody would suggest the virtual boutique comes close to reproducing the experience of being guided by an expert jewelry or watch consultant within a real showroom, but with many States still struggling to reopen, and the chances of traveling to Singapore currently nil, this could be a stopgap alternative.
