Porsche Design gets revved up as it celebrates 70-year anniversary


Porsche Design has created a timepiece to celebrate the brand’s seven decades in motoring.

The Chronograph 70Y Sportwagen PCA Edition has been made exclusively for the Porsche Club of America members.

Limited to only 70 timepieces worldwide, this design aims to pay tribute to the Chronograph l, the first-ever timepiece developed by Porsche Design.


Vu Nhuyen, executive director of the Porsche Club of America, said: “Porsche Design has created a technical masterpiece specifically for our members to mark 70 years of Porsche. Just like the sports cars we covet, it is honoring tradition while offering advanced technology.”

The Chronograph 70Y Sportwagen PCA Edition features the company’s first ever proprietary movement and is powered by the the Werk 01.200 caliber with Flyback function.

Its case is made of lightweight titanium with black titanium carbide coating and the black carbon-fibre dial provides optimum readability.

Each limited edition timepiece is presented in a collectable gift box, featuring the limitation number, the official PCA logo and an exclusive booklet which chronicles the story of Porsche Design, the Porsche Club of America, and the timepiece.

The exclusive watches are now available for pre-order and retail at $9,911.
