Patek Philippe Exhibition extends opening hours


Over 25,000 people visited the Watch Art Patek Philippe Grand Exhibition in its first week, the company has told WatchPro.

The event, which celebrates the 175th anniversary of Patek Philippe with a presentation of its horological history of innovation, opened on May 27 at Saachi Gallery in London.

Over 400 timepieces are on show within more than twenty-one themed areas including the Royal Room where 15 royal timepieces from the Patek Philippe Museum are on show. Star among them is the Ref. 4975/1G, which was lent to the exhibition by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The exhibition is adding to its opening hours this weekend to allow even more people to visit. On Saturday, June 6, the show will open from 9am – 8pm. On Sunday it will open from 9am – 4pm.

Mark Hearn, managing director for Patek Philippe UK, says that demand for the exhibition has exceeded expectations. “We are delighted with the numbers of visitors who have come to see this wonderful exhibition, and also the age range of the visitors, young people as well as older have been completely enthralled by the magic of this event,” he said.
