Patek Philippe complications dominate Phillips Hong Kong’s July 10 auction


Phillips’ in Association with Bacs & Russo’ Hong Kong Watch Auction: X is a treasure trove for Patek Philippe collectors with a number of rare and complicated references going under the hammer from the brand.

The 160 lot auction takes place on July 10, with a live sale room and online bidding.

“We are delighted to bring forward an incredible selection of collectible timepieces, including some of the most important modern and vintage Patek Philippe wristwatches, led by a well preserved reference 2499/100 fourth series in yellow gold, and a possibly unique reference 3448/14 in 18k white gold, offered by the family of the original owner.


“In addition, we are excited to present three sections of the sale dedicated to the World Time by Patek Philippe, the finest examples from Patek Philippe and Rolex retailed by Tiffany &Co., and an extravagant selection of salmon dials from the 20th and 21st century,” says Thomas Perazzi, head of watches at Phillips Asia.

Patek Philippe Reference 5270P-001 from 2019, platinum perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch with “salmon” dial, day and night indication, moonphases, leap year indication, additional case back. Estimate: HKD 1,100,000-1,600,000.
Rolex Day-Date Reference 1802 from 1971, white gold wristwatch with center seconds, day, date and “salmon” dial. Estimate: HKD 155,000-310,000.
Patek Philippe Reference 3448/14 from 1975, white gold perpetual calendar wristwatch with moon phases and integrated bracelet, retailed by Gübelin. Estimate: HKD 2,340,000-3,900,000.
Patek Philippe Reference 5013R from 2000, pink gold tonneau-shaped minute repeating perpetual calendar wristwatch with moon phases, retrograde date, leap year indication and Breguet numerals. Estimate: HKD 1,800,000-3,000,000.
Patek Philippe Reference 2499/100 from 1982, 18K yellow gold perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch with moon phases. Estimate: HKD 3,500,000-5,000,000.
Patek Philippe Reference 5496P-001 from 2015, platinum perpetual calendar wristwatch with retrograde date, day, month, moon phases, leap year indication, retailed by Tifany & Co. Estimate: HKD 350,000-510,000.
Rolex Reference 1680 from 1977, stainless steel diver’s wristwatch retailed by Tiffany & Co. Estimate: HKD 160,000-320,000.
Patek Philippe Reference 3979 from 1996, platinum minute repeating wristwatch with enamel dial. Estimate: HKD 2,900,000-4,000,000.
Patek Philippe Reference 5231J-001 from 2019, yellow gold World Time wristwatch with “cloisonné” enamel dial. Estimate: HKD 600,000-1,000,000.
