Parmigiani Fleurier has announced its latest timepiece, the Tonda Annual Calendar, with a precise moon phase and complex date function.
Though this piece wasn’t shown at SIHH, the Tonda Annual Calendar will be shown off at Watches & Wonders in Miami.
The company draws attention most to the movement found within the 40mm piece, the calibre PF339, which features both a retrograde annual calendar and a precision moon phase. It’s explained that the date, which can account for leap years, would only need adjusting once a year, whilst the moon phase would only need adjusting once every 122 years.
Around the movement is the case, coming in either rose gold with a white grained dial or a white gold case with a black opaline dial. On the dial is the moon phase at the 6 o’clock, as well as date sub dials at both the 3 and 9 o’clock. Finally, the day of the week is shown with an additional hand along the top half of the dial.
The 50 hour power reserve timepiece retails for $29,600.
