Oris is developing a series of limited edition watches named after the Swiss village of Hölstein in which it was founded more than a century ago in 1904.
The first Oris Hölstein Edition 2020 is a version of its Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph in a solid bronze case with the same metal used for its bracelet. Both will age over time with their own distinctive and unique patina.
“The Oris Hölstein Edition 2020 is a celebration of Oris’s roots and the values we carry through into today and tomorrow,” says Rolf Studer, Oris Co-CEO. “But we also wanted to give Oris fans and all watch enthusiasts something to cheer, something to make them smile.”
The 43mm watch, using the Oris 771 automatic chronograph movement, has a gold-plated dial with center hands for hours, minutes and chronograph ¼ seconds, plus two subdials with continuous seconds at 9 o’clock and a chronograph 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock.
Only 250 are being made, which go on sale this month for CHF4,800 through Oris boutiques, the Oris e-Shop, and retailers with access to the Oris e-shop.
