Omega marks 100 days to Tokyo Olympics with themed Seamaster Diver 300M

1

Omega retailers rejoice. There are only 100 days to go until the 2020 Olympic Games bursts into life and onto our screens from Tokyo.

A year late, but maybe even more appreciated for the delay, the spectacle is the biggest date in Omega’s calendar during every four year cycle.

What’s more, the delayed premier of the latest James Bond movie will take place in the autumn, making this the most important year for Omega in a decade.

The brand is marking 100 days until the opening ceremony with its first Olympic-themed watch of 2021, the Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020.

Collectors are even thought to be more excited than usual because the 2020 Tokyo Olympic branding on a 2021 watch may give it the additional cache of a highly desirable misprint.

Olympic Games colours have been artfully used for the 42mm stainless steel Seamaster including a blue ceramic bezel filled with a white enamel diving scale circling a a polished white ceramic dial with laser-engraved waves.

The Seamaster name is highlighted in red and the hands and indexes are blued with white Super Luminova.

A sapphire crystal caseback with a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem gives a glimpse at the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800.

It is sold in a special Olympic Games presentation box, along with a Master Chronometer card and a full 5-year warranty.
