Omega backs ladies golfing tour for next 10 years


Omega has today announced that it will sponsor the Ladies European Tour for the next ten years while golfer Charley Hull becomes the brand’s youngest ambassador.

The Swiss watchmaker announced the long term partnership with the Ladies European Tour (LET), Europe’s leading women’s professional golf tour, this afternoon as part of Omega’s ongoing commitment to the world of sport and its support of female athletes.

Omega is proud to support the Ladies European Tour, an organisation with achievable and attractive goals that are sure to have a lasting impact on the sport. It is important to the brand that we show our appreciation of golf as a whole and we are happy to bring greater attention to the professional women golfers who are taking the game to a new, exciting level. Omega is also expanding its roster of golfing brand ambassadors with the announcement that , 18-year-old English professional golfer Charley Hull will become the brand’s youngest ever ambassador, joining the likes of Stacy Lewis, Rory McIlroy, Michelle Wie, Sergio Garcia, Shanshan Feng and golf legend Greg Norman.

Hull, a star on the Ladies European Tour, was born in 1996, and named LET Rookie of the Year in 2013. She became the youngest woman ever to compete in the international Solheim Cup matches and on March 16, 2014, four days before her 18th birthday, she won her first professional title.

Hull said: “Everyone is aware of the strong commitment Omega has made to women’s golf. I’m proud to be part of a roster that includes Stacy, Michelle and Shanshan and which is now working closely with the Ladies European Tour.”
