British watch label Olivia Burton has announced its first standalone retail presence in Hong Kong.
The new development is in conjunction with the brand’s Hong Kong distributor Working Unit Limited and will see three Olivia Burton watch corners launch in Kapok retail spaces pre-Christmas.
“The launch of the Olivia Burton retail corners with kapok marks a huge milestone for the brand and our international presence,” said a proud Jemma Fennings, co-founder of the brand. “The label has proved extremely popular with the Asian market since we started trading internationally and to be able to offer a dedicated retail space that is designed and merchandised by our in-house team is really exciting. We’re looking forward to increasing our brand awareness and product offering within the Asian market and hope to add additional retail spaces to the current portfolio in the coming year.”
Mr Arnault Castel, owner of kapok, which offer concept retail space, said: “Olivia Burton is a very young brand but it has already become a phenomenon in Hong Kong. In the past few months, every time we brought new stock in our kapok stores, the brand sold out within a few days. I love the versatility of the brand that combines unique floral patterns and also a very British vintage style. It has already captured the attention of our women’s clientele and we decided to open several Olivia Burton corners in Hong Kong prime shopping areas for Christmas”
Its growth in Hong Kong is the latest positive news from the British watch brand that continues to go from strength to strength, having only launched in 2012. As well as growing the brand domestically and internationally, co-founders Fennings and Lesa Bennett are former members of the WatchPro Hot 100 and their watches have appeared in the last two years’ WatchPro Watches of the Year.
