NOMOS increases UK presence with Harrods launch


NOMOS Glashütte is expanding its presence in the UK, announcing the world-famous department store Harrods as its latest retail stockist.

Launching on August 18th, NOMOS will showcase its latest automatic collection, neomatik, alongside hero timepieces from its hand-wound Tangente and Orion collections.

With over 500 points of sale worldwide and 30% growth in turnover last year, NOMOS Glashütte reports the continued success of its unfussy timepieces in what it describes as “an otherwise un-settled industry”.


To celebrate its partnership with Harrods, the German brand will launch an exclusive strap crafted from green Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan, which will debut at the Knightsbridge store on December 1st, just in time for Christmas.

Using traditional tannery techniques, the green strap has been produced to the exacting standards of NOMOS Glashütte in conjunction with the Horween tannery in Chicago. The result is a “rich and robust leather strap that will only improve with age”.

The strap itself, which is the first exclusive of its kind for NOMOS, takes its inspiration from the signature green of Harrods, and will only be available at Harrods itself.

Customers will have the option to buy the green strap for any new or previous NOMOS purchase, and have it fitted by the team in store.

A statement from the brand notes: “The UK remains one of [our] company’s most important markets”.
