NOMOS Glashütte creates first time buyers’ Club

NOMOS Glashütte has begun 2021 by finishing off a series of launches that began last year to celebrate 175 years of watchmaking in the famous German village.

There were two limited edition launches of its Ludwig and Lambda lines in 2020, and the trio is completed today with the introduction of Club by NOMOS Glashütte in three new colorways, each limited to 175 pieces.

The clean and simple watches have a small seconds sub dial at 6 o’clock and only the hours of 12, 2, 4, 8 and 10 picked out with sans serif numerals.

Dial colors of onyx, navy blue and olive green are on offer for the 40mm steel collection, which uses the NOMOS DUW 5001 automatic movement.

NOMOS CEO Uwe Ahrendt says the watches, priced at $2,920 for the onyx model on a steel sport bracelet and $2,620 on blue or green textile straps, are designed to appeal to first time buyers of mechanical automatics. “A group of customers that has always been of great importance to us,” he says.
