Germans love their autobahns where the country’s prestige BMWs, Mercedes and Porsches fly, unrestricted by any speed limits.
It is a far cry from our freeways where traffic cops prowl ready to ticket anybody nudging over 55 mph.
German watchmaker NOMOS Glashutte is also a fan of the open roads, and named a collection the Autobahn.
The love runs so deep, models within the collection have even been named after three key autobahns, A3, A7 and A9.
The limited editions, made in production runs of 175 each, come in three new colorways: A3 in white and orange, A7 in blue and yellow, and A9 in black and gray.
Each of the combinations is inspired by the colors of German cars from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
All have NOMOS’s slim and decorated inhouse caliber DUW 6101 under the hood driving hours, minutes, small seconds and date.
The watches come on the NOMOS Autobahn bracelet, which is perforated like a pair of driver’s gloves.
