Montblanc says it is bridging fine watchmaking and state-of-the-art technology in its second generation smartwatch, the Summit 2.
The latest collection comes in a smaller 42mm case that can be worn by men and women. It uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset running Wear OS from Google.
“Built for travel, fitness or exploration, Summit 2 is a versatile companion created for urban explorers, business travellers and performance seekers looking to push boundaries in everything they do,” explains Nicolas Baretzki, Montblanc CEO.
“These high achieving individuals want to be connected at all times with easy access to functional features and apps that allow them to always stay ahead and be productive on-the-go, while still enjoying the experience of wearing a fine timepiece. Whether work, leisure, fitness or travel, Summit 2 is built to seamlessly power them through their everyday adventures stylishly and reliably.”
The case and strap options of the Summit 2 are similar to Montblanc’s 1858 collection but, being an AMOLED touchscreen smartwatch, it can be configured with over a thousand watch faces with different digital versions of hands, indicators and complications.
The watch goes on sale this week with prices ranging from $1095 to $1230. Quick change straps are offered in rubber, nylon or rubber for $130.
