Revived watch brand Minster1949 has signed up two new retailers in Norfolk and Chesterfield.
Dipples of Norwich and Green & Benz in Chesterfield now both offer the brand, launched at the Company of Master Jewellers’ August trade fair by Giles Bushby.
Minster1949 is based on a British watch brand of the same name from that year and takes its design cues from watches of the 1940s.
“We are very proud to see Minster1949 in Dipples of Norwich,” said Giles Bushby joint-founder and chief executive officer of GB&RS. “The brand compliments the store wonderfully and provides a real point of difference to the window. Likewise, we are delighted to be included in counter as part of Green&Benz beautiful new store, and thank both retailers for their support and partnership. ”
The five collections offered by Minster1949 are fully assembled in the UK at workshops in Halifax using internationally sourced components.
Chris Ellis, managing director of Dipples, added: “Minster1949 represents the type of innovation in the mid-price market we are keen to support. The product is fresh and interesting, the brand authentic and revivalist and British-made is very important to us as well. We are pleased to be working with Giles and his team to establish Minster1949 in the Eastern counties.”
While Helen Dimmick, managing director of Green & Benz, said: “I am very pleased to support Giles by including Minster1949 in our new store. We constantly strive to find the freshest and most interesting new product and British-made at an affordable price represents a strong and important introduction to a changing market.”
