Michel Herbelin goes back in time with latest addition

Michel Herbelin has taken inspiration from 1970’s watchmaking and added to its Newport classic collection.

The Newport Classic’s cushion-shaped stainless steel case balances a classic round shape and a chunky square, creating a retro style look.

Measuring 38mm in diameter, the entire surface is polished, meaning any movement of the wrist catches the light and draws the eye towards the dial.

The new piece was designed, assembled, adjusted and inspected in the Michel Herbelin workshops and is powered by a Swiss-made (Ronda) quartz movement.

Set on a brown leather strap and raised in the middle, Michel Herbelin hope the new model is targeted towards men and has a recommended retail price of £440.

In 2017, annual production at Michel Herbelin reached 85,000 watches, with distribution through 3,000 points of sale across 50 countries with prices ranging from £300 to £2,000.
